Wedding Planning Event Pt. 1: Advice for scheduling your hair appointments for wedding photography

It has been an exciting January. Over 1,000 brides visited my booths at recent bridal shows in Sonoma. January always seems to be the exciting months for couples getting married because they realize that many people are interested in securing important vendors such as photographers and sites. This is why for the next 4 weeks I will be blogging about how to plan your wedding day so that your anxiety is lowered and most importatly, you have the greatest opportunity to feel completly natural and as relaxed as possible on your wedding day.

Planning For Hair Appointments...Critical! One of the Most Significant Schedule Element of your wedding day! Why? if your hair appointment is scheduled in time, then there is time for a portrait sessions before the wedding, there is no panic to complete you hair and make-up on time as the clock ticks closer to ceremony time. So, schedule your hair appointments for one hour per head of hair per hair dresser. So, 4 heads of hair=4 hours of hair dresser time. Then, the hair and make-up must be complete before the photo sessions are scheduled before the wedding (guys and gals are separate). This way the bride is not still in hair curlers hen the photographer arrives.

So, plan for success. Do not underplan, or else a year's worth of planning can end in stress. It takes me about 3 minutes to write out a schedule for you based on your unique plans. Part of my job of a professional wedding vendor is to advise using my expertise of wedding events.

Care, Trust, Experience, Passion, Joy and Craftmanship are the foundations of how I have cared for brides and grooms over the past 12 years, photographing weddings nearly every Saturday for the past 12 years during the wedding season.

Plan early, save money and save on your precious memory of a once in a lifetime day.
